SOURCES SOUGHT/NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT WITH ONE SOURCE. The proposed contract action is to provide for Hydrilla dection and extermination on USACE property at Eastman Lake in and Mariposa Counties, CA during 01 October 2005 - 30 September 2006 with two Option Years. Option Year one 01 October 2006 - 30 September 2007, Option Year Two 01 October 2007 - 30 September 2008. According to the California Dept. of Food and Agriculture the work of detection and extermination of Hydrilla must be perf ormed by the California Dept. of Food and Agriculture in order for California Dept. of Food and Agriculture to make regulartory or treatment decisions. The Government intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to California Dept. of Food & Agricu lture. TYPE OF AWARD: All interested parties may respond to this announcement. Responses must include specific information as to the firms capablities relative to the above requirements no later than 10 August 2005. This is not a Request for Quotation. The Government will consider responses received within 10 days after the publication of this synopsis. A de termination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is within the discretion of the Government. This procurement will be conducted under FSC code R499 SIC code 0721, NAICS code 115112. The size standards for these codes are 5 million dollars.
