The purpose of this early notice is to alert interested parties to a "SITE VISIT" occurring in November 2019 for planting on the Almanor Ranger District, Lassen National Forest. The solicitation will be set aside at least to small business. Project Description: This project will reforest approximately 248 acres of groups with each group approximately 2 acres that follow four timber sales and are spread-out across the District. Access: Most units can be accessed by Forest Service roads and/or skid trails. Some units may require a short walk-in. Tree spacing: 12 x 12 feet, with an estimated 300 trees per acre. Scalp size: 18" average (may be 12" - 24") Planting Method: Hoedad, shovel or auger Trees to be planted: varied Contract time: 60 days Estimated start date: April 1, 2020 Scheduled Site Visit: A site visit is scheduled for November 7, 2019 at 0900 starting at the Almanor Ranger District Office 900 E Hwy 36 Chester, CA.
