NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE Title: Intent to Sole Source: Northern Research Station Field Work Assistance on Black Ash EAB Research Project Notice ID: 12444822P0068 DESCRIPTION This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. USDA Forest Service, Chippewa National Forest intends to award a sole source award to Lynn C Peterson to procure a large long-term experiment to evaluate adaptation approaches to EAB. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: Federal Regulation (FAR) FAR Subpart 13.5 authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901; (modified FAR 6.302-1), only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by July 5th, 2022, at 0900 (EST). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed award upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
