All other details from the previous notice remain in effect. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 6/19/2019 - Original Special Notice The USDA Forest Service (FS) is performing Market Research to determine the viability of separately acquiring the performance of technical services at the 35 National Inter-Agency Full-Service airtanker bases (ATB) to handle, store, mix, recirculate, load, and off-load the Agency's Long-Term Fire Retardant (LTFR). Currently, the LTFR and services are being purchased under a single contract with Perimeter Solutions LP. The LTFR is qualified and approved on the Qualified Products List (QPL) in accordance with USDA, USFS Specification 5100-304c - Long Term Retardant, Wildland Firefighting with amendments. Accordingly, the LTFR will continue to be purchased under a separate contract. The intent of this Special Notice is to provide a draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) (attached to this notice) to industry for review and to solicit questions or comments. Prior to the submission deadline, the FS will host four LTFR Services Industry Days at separate locations to brief all interested parties on the Government's requirement and to provide an opportunity for questions and dialogue on the PWS and direction of this potential acquisition.
