Special Notice: Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Contract for the purchase of gravel from Montezuma County, CO for San Juan National Forest, Dolores Ranger District. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The USDA Forest Service (USFS) intends to solicit a proposal and enter into a contract with County of Montezuma, DUNS: 020203894, 109 W MAIN RM 101, CORTEZ, CO, 81321-3128 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) - Simplified Acquisitions. The intent of the USFS is to establish a contract using firm fixed prices for the purchase of 33,000 tons of one inch minus (1”-) aggregate and 7,000 tons of two and a half inch minus (2-1/2”) aggregate from the Ormiston gravel pit under exclusive operation by Montezuma County. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice, however, any firm that believes they have capabilities to provide this supply item may give written notification to the Contracting Officer at [email protected]. All comments received before 10:00 am MST February 21, 2020 will be considered. ---
