Commercial Electric Power to USAGM Transmitting Station in Tinang, Philippines

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT Solicitation Number: USAGM-21-NOI-00018JG This notice is issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) section 5.201 to notify the public of a proposed contract action. Introduction: The U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) intends to contract with AdventEnergy located in Mactan Economic Zone II, Basa, Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines by means of other than full and open competition and enter into a sole source contract in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 “When the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” Description: The U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) plans to issue a contract extension to its current contract with AdventEnergy (Contractor), which will require the Contractor to provide commercial electric power to the USAGM Transmitting Station located in Tinang, Philippines for a period of six months. The Contractor shall be responsible for the following services: Delivery of commercial electric power to the USAGM Transmitting Station located in Tinang, Philippines. Anticipated Period of Performance The estimated period of performance for this contract extension is six months as follows: Start: March 26, 2021 End: September 25, 2021 This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested firms must submit a written response that demonstrates their ability to provide the above requirements. In addition, interested firms must state how they would fulfill the requirement above and include appropriate documentation describing the number of years they have been providing such services. The written responses received from the interested firms shall provide sufficient detail to allow for an evaluation by the Government without the need for the submission of additional information.
