The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award, a modification to extend the ordering period on contracts W912BU-10-D-0016, W912BU-10-D-0017, and W912BU-10-D-0018 with Berger Cummins Joint Venture, Fluor Intercontinental, and IAP Worldwide Services in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.217-8, entitled Option to Extend Services. The action is pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, quote mark Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement quote mark . This action is required to extend world-wide emergency power ordering period from 13 September 2015 - 12 March 2016, in order to ensure the continuation of services. The current ordering period ends 12 September 2015. Award to any source other than BCJV, FI, and IAP would result in unacceptable delays and substantial costs that are considered to be well beyond any cost savings that might be achieved through competition. This action will be awarded via a modification to the existing contract in accordance with FAR 52.217-8.
