RECOVERY--99--PROJECT NUMBER 1680, Black Warrior and Tombigbee Rivers, AL Electric Service at Demopolis for Lower Park

RECOVERY Per FAR 5.7, this notice is provided for informational purposes only. The US Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District has a requirement to provide power to planned new facilities at Demopolis Lower Pool Park near Demopolis Lock and Dam. The power within the park will be underground. Alabama Power will provide and install the necessary electric line, conduit, poles, transformers, and meters. Alabama Power will install two meters and will maintain the line and service. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Alabama Power Company, 107 Technology Parkway, Norcross, GA 30092-2909, under the authority of FAR 6.302. Alabama Power is the only known available utility in the area. American Reinvestment and Recovery Act Funds will be utilized for this project. ARRA clauses will be incorporated into the solicitation. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price Contract will be awarded. The NAICS code is 221122 and the size standard is 4 million.
