84--DRAFT REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) for Soldier Protection System (SPS) Torso/Deltoid/Neck/Pelvic Protection (TP) Component

*****THE FORMAL SOLICITATION FOR THIS REQUIREMENT WILL BE ISSUED UNDER REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) W91CRB-13-R-0010. ********** Product Manager Soldier Proitection & Individual Equipment (PM SPIE) is seeking a Torso / Deltoid / Neck / Pelvic Protection (TP) component which is a sub-system of the Soldier Protection System (SPS). The TP component consists of torso, deltoid, lower back, yoke, and pelvic protection (fully scalable from a concealable vest to a full up tactical vest with integrated load management capability) that must provide the same or better fragmentation protection at a lighter weight than the current baseline (Improved Outer Tactical Vest). The TP is one of six (6) components that will be integrated into the SPS. The other components include head protection, vital torso protection, extremity protection, eye protection, and an Integrated Soldier Sensor System (ISSS).
