65--Instrument/reagent agreement for AUTOBLOT 3000H System and the HCV amplification kit and Genotype assay for use with that equipment

The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to negotiate a sole source commercial item procurement with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc for an instrument/reagent agreement.This agreement is for the AUTOBLOT 3000H instrument and the VERSANT HCV Amplifications kit LiPA RUO and VERSANT Genotype assay LiPA RUO reagents that are used on this equipment.This proposed procurement is for this instrument agreement and reagents which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than Noon, February 22, 2010, local time. Interested parties must submit all technical information required to make a determination the proposed instruments and reagents meets or exceeds the specifications. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
