A--Purchasing one Bio-Plex Pro human cytokine 17-plex assay

The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to BIO RAD Laboratories, Life Science Group, 2000 Alfred Nobel Drive, Hercules, CA. on a sole source basis, for purchase of 10 Bio-Plex Pro Human Cytokine 17-plex Assay, 1x96, Includes coupled magnetic beads, detection antibodies, standards assay buffer, wash buffer, detection antibody diluents, streptavidin-PE, filter plate, sealing tape, standard diluents, sample diluents.. This is the only known source in the U.S. that can manufacture and provide this product. These consumables are specific to the instruments and generic substitutions are not validated nor will the manufacturer support the use of such supplies on-the instruments. This procurement shall be under other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for a competitive quote. Any response to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Government and show clear and convincing evidence that another source is capable of meeting the Government's requirements and that competition of the requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no written responses are received at least fifteen (15) days after the publication of this response, the purchase will be awarded without further notice.
