Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source - Acrylic Partitions

The 410th Contracting Support Brigade (CSB)/Regional Contracting Center Americas (RCC) JBSA Fort Sam Houston hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order for a commercial grade Plexiglas partition system. This acquisition is intended to be awarded as a sole source to Evans Consoles Incorporated, 1577 Spring Hill Rd Ste 110Vienna, VA, 22182-2223. The Government has a requirement to purchase an acrylic personal partition system for existing console workstations. The installation of the Plexiglas system shall not alter the workstations' physical structure by such means as cutting or drilling which would void the lifetime warranty provided by the manufacturer. The request for this urgent requirement is due to the growing concern over the transmission of COVID-19 virus pandemic. This sole source requirement meets the conditions of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) states for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available to provide the supplies that will satisfy the agency requirements. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. No solicitation documentation exists. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action is based is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
