Procite Polysytrene Film

The United States Department of the Treasury, Financial Management Service (FMS), Acquisition Management Division (AMD), Washington, DC, intends to negotiate a sole source contract modification with International Plastics, Inc. for an additional quantity of 180 rolls of Procite polystyrene window film. The film is used as a window patch in the production of Government envelopes printed on the FL Smithe check wrapping machine. This action will be acquired as an Acquisition of Commercial Items using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code is 362113 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Delivery is anticipated 30 days from date of contract modification. The estimated increase to the contract price is $17,338.00. This action is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. It is not a solicitation or a request for offers. Other vendors who believe they can meet the requirements may provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by March 17, 2010, 3:00 P.M. (EST). Supporting evidence must be furnished in detail to demonstrate the capability of the product offered if not Procite polystyrene window film. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. All responsible sources must provide a technical capability statement with the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone and Fax Number, Email Address, Business Size, and DUNS Number, and commercial price list. Responses without the required documentation will be determined non-responsive and will not be considered. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to International Plastics, Inc.
