9320--Notice of Intent to Sole Source Single Source of Orthotic Materials to AMFIT, Inc.

The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Amfit, Inc., 3611 NE 68th Street, Vancouver, WA 98661-1371 to purchase Amfit orthopedic inserts and associated products for the: Tomah VA Medical Center, Department of Veterans Affairs, 500 E. Veterans Street, Tomah, WI 54660-3105. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency s requirements. Contract is firm, fixed price with a base year and four (4) one -year options and the NAICS Code is 326299. This action will provide orthopedic supplies from the manufacturer that are specific to the manufactures existing government owned equipment to create custom on site orthopedic inserts. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements, it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and services, to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Amfit, Inc.
