The Unites States Agency of International Development (the USAID) and the Government of Georgia have entered into an agreement for assistance to promote energy security through greater access to electricity and natural gas supplies for households in Western Georgia, promoting the development of Poti Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) on the Black Sea coast, and secure power exports through reliability related infrastructure improvements. Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation has announced a tender for the procurement of materials for the construction of 23 km section of '' Kutaisi-Abasha" pipeline and rehabilitation of 20 segments of the Gori-Quareli section that need urgent rehabilitation. Interested individuals and legal entities are invited to submit the bids. The winner should provide the delivery of required pipes, valves, T-joints, tees, bends and end-caps no later than 120 days following the entry into force of the agreement; Bids must be received from 10:00 local time, March 18, 2013 until 16:30 local time, March 22, 2013. Bids will be opened at 17:00 local time on March 22, 2013 in the administrative building of Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation.
