40--Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13.106-1(b)(1), only one responsible source and not other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement; unique supplies or services available from only one source or only one supplier with unique capabilities. 101st Sustainment Brigade requires a quantity of seventy thousand (70,000) multi-loc cable security seals, 1/16" x 40", color white and laser marked "BAGRAM" and individually numbered (i.e. 000001-070000). The Rock Island Contracting Center - Reach back intends to make an award to Tydenbrooks Company, 408 Hoosier Drive, Angola, IN 46703. Interested parties may email [email protected] no later 18 July 2011, 12 p.m. CST. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement prior to 18 July 2011 at 4 p.m. CST. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received is considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
