38--CHEMICAL HOLDING TANKS

This is a Notice of Intent to issue a sole source purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 to Vibra Screw for 4 replacement chemical holding tanks. Vibra Screw is the manufacture of the original electronics and weight scales in which the chemical holding tanks are a part of. The chemical tanks are part of existing electronics and weighing system. Having another manufacturer perform would result in incompatibility to existing hardware and downtime. Purchase order will be awarded under other than full and open competition as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). This is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
