38--A sole source modification to the production contract W56HZV08D0169 with Caterpillar Defense Products for the procurement of field level special tool kits for the Family of Dozers.

The Army Contracting Command- Warren, intends to award a sole source contract modification to Caterpillar Defense and Federal Products for the addition of field level special tool sets for the D7R and D6K Dozers. Estimated quantity is 640 sets. A modification will be issued to the existing production contract with Caterpillar Defense and Federal Products. Caterpillar Defense and Federal Products is uniquely qualified to fulfill the contract requirements because it is the original manufacturer of the equipment and holds all technical data rights to the vehicles.
