38--A sole source modification to the Family of Loaders production contract W56HZV05DL424 with Caterpillar Defense Products to extend Interim Contractor Logistics Support (ICLS) for four years.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, TACOM Contracting Center plans to award a Sole Source contract modification to Caterpillar Defense and Federal Products under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, for the proposed acquisition of 7,300 Man-Days of ICLS for the 51 up-armored Heavy loaders deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. A Man-day consists of 12 hours. The contractor will provide maintenance, supply support for armor and commercial components, technical assistance, deployment support preparation, and new equipment training (operator and when required, maintenance training) for deployed soldiers. A modification will be issued to the existing contract with Caterpillar Defense and Federal Products.
