--A sole source modification to Contract W56HZV-05-D-0285, with CNH America LLC for the acquisition of Supplemental Armor Sets (SAS), related efforts to include logistic management data revisions and the development of a drawing package.

The SAS consists of an A-Kit and a B-Kit. The A-Kit consists of integrated, non-removable components built into the base vehicle to provide ballistic protection and accommodate the installation of the B-Kit. The B-Kit consists of armor panels to be hung on vehicles to be deployed to support contingency operations such as OEF/OIF. The proposed action will include the application of the A-Kit to every Backhoe Loader vehicle delivered under this contract and production/installation of B-Kit, and chang es to logistic and engineering data impacted by the incorporation of both A-Kit and B- Kit. This will include Authorized Stockage List (ASL) consisting of spare parts to support the fielding of the armor kits. See Note 22. Response date: 28 February 20 08.
