The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) plans to award a Sole Source contract to CNH America LLC, for armored steel for the Backhoe Loader (BHL) Supplemental Armor Set (SAS). This notice is for the purpose of possible subcontract ing opportunities only. See NOTE 22. This contract will allow the contractor to buy material for armor kits to be applied to 87 vehicles (A-Kits) that are already on contract, and 50 (B-Kits) that are not yet on contract. The A-Kits consist of non-removable and integral components built into the base vehicle to accommodate the installation of the B-Kit and it is applied to every vehicle. The B-Kit consists of armor panels to be hung on vehicles going into the Area of Responsibility (AOR). Response date: 19 June 2007.
