NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT NAVSUP Fleet Logistics San Diego (FLCSD) intends to award a Sole Source contract to Cospolich Inc., 14695 Airline Hwy. Destrehan, LA, 70047-4336 for Cospolich Inc. 304 Stainless steel shipboard, refrigerator, modular, 48”w x 30”d x 71- 3/4”h, 404a refrigerant, 115v/60hz/1ph, hinge standard, electronic controls, shipboard approved Model No. R20-2M-SN-MLR and Cospolich Inc. 304 stainless steel shipboard, freezer, modular, 48”w x 30”d x 71- 3/4”h, 404a refrigerant, 115v/60hz/1ph, and hinge standard, electronic controls, shipboard approved Model No. Freezer F30-2M-SN-MLR, FLCSD will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition. The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is Sole Source only. In accordance with FAR 5.102, the required justification documentation is attached (See Note 22). This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
