Naval Additive Manufacturing Technology Interchange (NAMTI) Meeting – Additive Manufacturing Industry Information Session

No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor participation in this industry informational event. NAVAIR is hosting the Naval Additive Manufacturing Technology Interchange (NAMTI) for an informational event on Naval Additive Manufacturing on Tuesday June 7th, 2016 in Laurel, MD. The event will take place in the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory Kossiakoff Conference and Education Center located at: Kossiakoff Conference and Education Center Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory 11100 Johns Hopkins Rd Laurel, MD 20723 The session will be held from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST and ATTENDANCE IS LIMITED TO U.S. CITIZENS ONLY The agenda will cover the Department of the Navy's Additive Manufacturing Vision and Implementation Plan, Concept of Employment for AM, Qualification and Certification of AM components, Business Case Development and Supply System Integration, Digital Infrastructure and Network Impacts, AM Standards, and Workforce Development planning. All briefings will be unclassified. There is no registration fee, but pre-registration is required to attend this event. All attendees shall be required to show Common Access Card (CAC), or proof of citizenship (U.S. Passport). No walk-ins will be permitted. Attendance will be limited to the first 300 industry participants who pre-register. A formal agenda will be provided to confirmed attendees. This exchange is for informational purposes only. While there is no formal Program of Record for DON Additive Manufacturing, utilizing AM Technology has the potential to significantly improve DON system capabilities, readiness, and support. NAMTI is interested in pursuing cooperative activities with industry to improve AM capabilities, develop AM standards, and accelerate utilization of AM across the DON Industrial Base.
