34--STOKES - R4 PRESS TOOLING

Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract. Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA) has a requirement for tooling for M819 Production Line Stokes R4 Press. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 6, Subpart 6.302-1, the RDECOM Acquisition Center, Pine Bluff Contracting Division, intends to contract with Compression Componenets & Services, LLC on a sole source basis for 7 of each of the following tooling: Bronze Bushing; Upper Punch-1.3884 Tip Flat Face; Lower Punch-1.3884 Tip Flat Face; Die-1.3924 Carbide Ring; Feed Shoe Spring; Die Clamp Ring; Die Table Plate & Feed Shoe on the M819 Production Line at the Pine Bluff Arsenal. This synopsis is not considered a request for bid. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Interested sources must submit technical capabilities, pricing, and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Governments needs to RDECOM Contracting Center, 10020 Kabrich Circle, Building 17-120, ATTN: CCRD-PB (Vonda S. Reeves), Pine Bluff, AR 71602-9500, no later than 22Sep2009, 4:00 p.m. CST. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. No contract will be awarded on a basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government.
