31 -- THORDON BEARING KITS FOR USCGC FORWARD

The United States Coast Guard, MLC Atlantic intends to issue a purchase order with Virginia Sealing Products, Inc., for two (2) EA THORDON COMPAC SEMI-FINISHED BEARING P/N F100262107, twenty (20) EA, THORDON TG75 ADHESIVE KIT P/N H1201TG75. Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.320-1(a)(2)(iii) – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Thordon Bearings Inc. is the only company that has the technical propriety data necessary to manufacturer the required parts. The requirement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures per FAR 13.5 – Test Program for Certain Commercial Items with an estimated value of $27,742.00. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all information received within 5 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A Determination by the Government not to compete as a result of quotes received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
