Sole Source Notice of Intent to Award Contract for Preventative Maintenance for Packing Equipment Systems

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Midstates Procurement Branch, intends to issue a sole source contract award to LINC Systems for preventative maintenance for various warehouse Stretch/Shrink Wrapper, Box Sealer and Strapper System located at the IRS National Distribution Center (NDC) facility located at 2525 Revenue Drive, Bloomington, IL 61705-2500. The contract will be awarded for a 12-month base period plus three (3) 12-month option periods. LINC Systems is the only source authorized and capable of providing the required maintenance due to geographical location, manufacturer certified technicians, and on-call response times. The proposed contract action is for services/supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested vendors may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 333993. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The Contractor is required to register with the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov.
