J--Notice-of-Intent to award on a Sole-Source Basis to The Oilgear Company, Rebuild Oilgear Hydraulic Winch Motor, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, Mat Sinking Unit

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District Contracting Office intends to solicit and award on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) to The Oilgear Company of Milwaukee, WI, CAGE Code 44674. The Contracting Officer has determined that only one source is available. This requirement is to perform the rebuild of a motor used in an Oilgear winch on the Mooring Barge for the Mat Sinking Unit, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This winch is used to control movement of the mooring barge while laying concrete mat along the bank of the Mississippi River. An RFP/RFQ WILL NOT be issued based on this notice. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No Request for Proposals will be issued. A copy of the sole source justification prepared using the format at FAR 6.303-2 reflecting an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items is posted as below. However, all information received within (7) calendar days after date of publication of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. The NAICS code for this procurement is 333996 - Fluid Power Pump and Motor Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 500 employees.
