The Government intends to award a sole source contract to Systems Atlanta. The System Atlanta software is maintained by the Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center, Redstone Arsenal, for use by The Software Engineering Directorate (SED). The workstations will be used to provide real-time data, including runway configuration, flow control information, weather data, and airspace status for AAAS sites. The restoration kits will be used to repair AAAS fielded equipment when failures of AAAS systems occur, keeping all systems running and maintaining safety of air traffic at Army airfield sites. This recommendation is being made pursuant to the statutory authority permitting other that full and open competition.
