J--LabVantage maintneance and reinstatement fee on software, base and 2 option years

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-2, for Other than Full and Open Competition. The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving ground, MD 21005-3013, has a requirement to procure the following items: Maintenance and reinstatement fee on LabVantage software for base year and two options years. The intended delivery date begins from date of the award for one year. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency requirements, the Government intends to award a sole source contract to LabVantage, 265 Davidson Avenue, Suite 220, Somerset, NJ 08873. This vendor is the manufacturer of the software. They are only company that has factory trained certified engineers to support the software. Efforts to solicit other contractors are being made via this announcement in accordance with FAR 5.2. The anticipated cost of this acquisition is determined fair and reasonable by comparison of prices proposed in other purchases of this nature. All responses received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00 AM EDT, 30 July 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
