This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items (FAR Part 12) to procure IBM Server Upgrade 1:8203 Model E4A, Part Number #41 by the HQ USAINSCOM, Directorate of Contracting, ATTN: IAPC-DOC, 8825 Beulah Street, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5246. The Govt intends to award a sole source contract (FAR Part 13.5) for the above products and services to the firm of Data Processing Solutions (DPS) , Inc. 9160 Read Branch Suite W-1, Columbia, MD 21045-9128. Note: This firm is the sole developer as well as sole manufacturer / distributor of this product. The Proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. DELIVERY: 15 August 2009. All responses received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
