Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Orlando Training Systems Division (TSD) intends to negotiate under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, with FlightSafety International Visual Simulation Systems of Hazelwood, Missouri on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Paragraph 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements”. The following items are required: CLIN 0010, FSI-3US-X800PRO PC SENSOR IG, QUANTITY (1); CLIN 0020, 4710PL-12T-B30 FAN TRAY MUFFIN FAN,QUANTITY (1); CLIN 0030, H06G4111-1 DISPLAY ENGINE,QUANTITY (1); CLIN 0040, H06G4154-1 PIXEL ENGINE,QUANTITY (1); CLIN 0050, H06G4110-1 GEOMETRY ENGINE,QUANTITY (1); CLIN 0060, H06G4107-1 GEOMETRY ENGINE,QUANTITY (1); CLIN 0070, ST-3146807LC 146 GB SCSI DISK DRIVE,QUANTITY (1); CLIN 0080, N32-XWB2-9S-202AV2-4X146 VCC COMPUTER,QUANTITY (1); and CLIN 0090, SHIPPING CHARGES, QUANTITY (1). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit detailed technical capabilities, pricing, and any other information, which demonstrates their ability to meet the needs of the Government. Detailed capabilities must be submitted via e-mail to [email protected] with informational copies to [email protected] and [email protected] no later than 2:00 PM EST on November 15, 2004. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses shall be limited to a maximum of FIVE pages. This synopsis is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No solicitation document is available. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government.
