58--Nurse Call System

VA Illiana Health Care System, 1900 East Main Street, Danville, IL intends to negotiate and award a contract for the provision and installation services of a Clinical Collaboration Nurse call system enhancement to Universal Understanding Inc. of Jacksonville FL. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-5 under the authority of 41USC 25(c) (5) and 38 USC 8127(a) (4) (c) of Public Law 109-461 in applying use of VAAR 819.7007 . Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than September 24, 2012. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
