NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 5), Washington DC VA Medical Center located at 50 Irving St, Washington DC, 20422 is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source award under the authority of The statutory authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. § 1901 and is implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) for restricting competition on this procurement. Competition is restricted on this procurement: FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Washington DC VAMC in Washington DC has a requirement for the purchase of Johnson Controls software House CCURE 9000 G Star Panels. Johnson Controls will replace the existing P2000 Access Control Panels with Software House CCURE 9000 G Star Panels. Johnson Controls is the sole manufacturer & distributor for the existing P2000 access control system. Johnson Controls is also the manufacturer of the proposed Software House CCure 9000 access control system. The place of performance is Washington DC VAMC, 50 Irving Street NW, Washington DC, 20422. This action will result in a firm-Fixed Price contract. The intended Contractor is Johnson Controls, Inc located at 507 E Michigan St M-93 Milwaukee, WI 53202, USA The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 334290 - Product of Service Code for this requirement is 6350. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is 750 size standards. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made based on unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government.
