The NF/SG VHS, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville FL 32608, in accordance with FAR 6.302, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with GRU-Gainesville Regional Utilities, P.O. Box 147117, Gainesville FL 32614; for GRUcom Private Fiber Optic Metropolitan Area Network Service for 1 base year (10/01/2010-9/30/2011) plus 4 option years covering the period from 10/01/2011-9/30/2015. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals and a solicitation will not be issued. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this special notice that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Please see attached Statement of Work. In accordance with FAR 15.201 (e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Interested parties are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this notice. Documentation must be submitted via email to the Contracting Officer within 10 days of the electronic posting of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
