59--Notice of Intent to Sole Source - United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center - Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (ERDC-CERL: Microphone and Preamplifier Enclosures.

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center - Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (ERDC-CERL) has a requirement to procure fifty (50) microphone enclosures. The parts will be used in the assembly of noise monitoring stations, to protect the microphones from the outdoor elements and include bird spikes, rain shields and windscreens. The enclosures must be capable of protecting the following Larson Davis equipment which is already owned by the Government: Microphone Model # Model 377B11 and Preamplifier Model 426E01 (see attachment). Delivery to CERL is required no later than 30 days after order. ERDC-CERL intends to sole source this acquisition in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to PCB PIEZOTRONICS, INC., LARSON DAVIS DIVISION. Market research has indicated that the LARSON DAVIS DIVISION is the only source capable of meeting the Government's requirements for this supply due to compatibility concerns. This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334310, which has a size standard of 750 employees. This is not a small business set aside. Any interest party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit a capability statement to be reviewed. All submissions will be considered, however there is no guarantee that submissions in response to this notice will in any way alter the Government's acquisition strategy.
