[email protected] STATEMENT OF WORK Title of Project: UNINTERRUPTABLE POWER SUPPLIES MAINTENANCE SERVICE PLANS | Powervar THREE Year Warranty Service Plan Background: The VA Maryland Health Care System requires full-service coverage of the Powervar Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. AMETEK Powervar manufactures and supports value power quality solutions for critical analytical instrumentation equipment in the medical, industrial, mobile medical, data center, retail, telecom, and printing industries. Power quality issues cause faulty analytics and batch losses which could impact life safety when equipment is not properly connected to a functioning power protection device. This service coverage includes installation, preventative maintenance, and repair in accordance with the manufacturer s recommendations to ensure that the equipment is properly maintained. Powervar products are specifically designed and manufactured for use in their own products and have no other use outside of those products. Any use of outside services or parts in those products is not recommended. The Powervar components and batteries are designed specifically to operate in their product as designed. Scope of Work: The vendor shall provide support for the Powervar Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) (SN#s: 2210050R-1930023; 2210050R-1920017; 2210050R-1920002) in use at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. The equipment is highly technical and requires Powervar specific training to service the equipment. All service including installation, maintenance, and repair require special factory training to protect the UPS, the connected instrumentation, and the safety of the service provider. Deliverables: Service coverage will include parts, preventative maintenance, applications phone support, priority updates and labor to restore or replace the covered equipment to operating specifications in accordance with the manufacturer s specifications throughout the term of the contract. The vendor will supply the Baltimore VAMC Biomedical Engineering department with a copy of a detailed service report that meets the requirements of 21CFR820, subpart N, within 2 weeks of maintenance being completed. The service shall be performed between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, unless mutually agreed upon by the contractor and the VA Biomedical Engineering department. The contractor shall schedule all maintenance with Biomedical Engineering and report to Biomedical Engineering in room 5B-183 upon arriving on-site at the Baltimore VAMC, before performing any maintenance.
