Request for Purchase of Electrical and Electronic Measuring Instruments: The Manufacturing Parts and Process team of the MS&T Division, Engineering Directorate, AMRDEC request to procure a self-enclosed portable electronic event detector that senses transient resistance changes of 0.1 ohm (adjustable to 2000 ohm) over durations of 0.1 microsecond (adjustable to 1.0 microsecond) with sensing currents from 1 to 100 milliamp. The instrument allows autonomous data collection on 128 networks simultaneously with automated data recording, synchronization with temperature cycling profiles, and event indication supporting digital storage. This instrument provides special capability to perform solder joint and connector performance testing for electrical connections to indicate cracks and poor contacts in accordance with IPC-SM-785.
