This serves as a notice of the Governments intent to award a contract on the basis of sole source, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, to Sandia Corporation for items and services related to the improvement of a pre-existing Stand-Off Radiation Detector (SORD). The following details are provided: Name of Contractor: Sandia Corporation Description of Service: items and services related to the improvement of a pre-existing Stand-Off Radiation Detector (SORD) This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals, or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. Although not a request for EOIs, interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the items and/or services sought, to include pricing and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror’s ability to meet all requirements. The government will consider all responses received prior to 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis, and before 1200 EST on that date. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and will not be treated as a basis for an award. The submitter bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile transmissions and should confirm by telephone that any facsimile was received.
