66--This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT to Atmospheric Products and Services.

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 1 each Part # APS SV UPG Material, shipping and labor to install LN2 backup system for -80 Sanyo Mechanical Freezer. The intended delivery date for the item(s) is June 30, 2009. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Atmospheric Products and Services. This firm is the current contract holder (W91ZLK-09-P-0644) to perform preventative maintenance, temperature calibration and diagnostics for the Sanyo ultra-low freezer. Service is preformed biannually by a technician who is trained and certified to calibrate the equipment per A2LA requirements and to supply the calibration certificate with the A2LA logo. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the Business Size Standard is 500. All responses received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Time, Friday, June 12, 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
