This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME contract for attachments to an AVATAR 370 Infrared Spectrophotometer using Federal Acquision Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. All responses received within fourteen (14) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM DST Eastern Time, Monday, July 20, 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in this and future procurements.
