Under the authority of FAR 6.302.1, the U.S. Army, REDCOM, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis to Applied Biosystems, 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City, CA 94404 This purchase is for the 7500 FAST DX REAL TIME PCR SYSTEM, this system is a 96-well format instrument validated to run the Center for Disease Controls laboratory response network (LRN), which NHRC is a part of. The interface requirements are consistent with current existing products in the Clinical and Research areas and is the only Real Time PCR Systems approved by the FDA for use with the CDCs swine Influenza Surveillance.
