66--Space Electronics - SE90030 Static CG Measurement Capability and SE9554 2-Axial Spin Fixture

Sole Source: The United States Army Contracting Command, Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC), MICC Center Yuma, U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Space Electronics, LLC, 81 Fuller Way, Berlin, CT 06037-1540. This contract will be for the procurement of Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001 1 each SE90030 Static CG Measurement Capability (for the model POI300) and CLIN 0002 1 each SE9554 2-Axial Spin Fixture (EB2). Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirements, under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1). USAYPG currently has Space Electronics equipment used for dynamic measurement testing at the Metrology and Simulation Division, Yuma Proving Ground, Yuma Arizona. Similar instrumentations are needed to maintain compatibility in fit, form and function with the existing equipment. Space Electronics holds proprietary rights on the existing software/hardware and the same equipment is needed to maintain consistency in the data output. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Item. The North American Classification System (NAICS) codes 334519 with a size standard of 500 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed requirement.
