--Sole Source Award to Modal Shop Inc for upgrade of existing government owned accelerometer calibration systems

The Government intends to issue a Sole Source Award to the Modal Shop Inc, a small business located at 3149 East Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45241-1516 to upgrade the two existing government owned accelerometer calibration systems from 9150C to 9155C . This company is the sole manufacturer and distributor of this accelerometer calibration system, which is a commercial item. The NAICS code is 334519 with a size standard not to exceed 500 employees. The SIC code is 3829. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
