--Antibody-based Bulk Reagents, MINITube assays, Germination Media and Diluent

The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command on behalf of the U.S. Critical Reagents Program intends to procure on a sole source basis, antibody-based bulk reagents, MINITube assays, as well as Germination Media and Diluent. The intended contracto r is BioVeris Corporation, 10620 Industrial Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. It is anticipated that an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract will be modified for the three (3) remaining option years. BioVeris is the only known source for ECL Tec hnology that will work with the Government-owned equipment for use in the National Capital Region Silver Standard Laboratory and other designated JPEO-CBD sites. The Government has identified BioVeris as the only known source qualified to produce bulk reag ents, for use with the M-SERIES M-8 analyzer, and MINITubes, for use with the M-SERIES M1R and M1M analyzers. Additionally, BioVeris will produce a small amount germination media and diluent to assist in assay analysis. Parties purporting to have the requ isite credentials to perform this work must furnish, in writing, factual information which clearly supports and demonstrates evidence of such abilities no later than 16 July 2004.
