The Idaho Air National Guard has a requirement to purchase a 25kw Spark Ignited Cummins Generator (PN 25GGMB) with options [listed below]. The Government has pre-existing Cummins Generators and this is adding to existing inventory. Further, all Cummins generators are running off of the Cummins I-Watch system. This software is proprietary to Cummins and is currently in use. This software gives members the ability to monitor, in real time, a generators performance and usage. Voltage and other vital engine readings can be remotely taken as required per AFI 32-1062 Sec. 6 operation & Attachment 2- A2.1.2 during operation. The Government intends to award a brand name contract for this requirement. The suggested contractor is Cummins Generator Corporation. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate only for the Cummins Brand name under Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 - No other supplies will satisfy agency requirements.
