The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement to purchase new solid state protective relays for the Walter F. George (WFG) Power Project Rehabilitation of the existing 115kV switchyard. It was determined that to maintain compatibility with existing software used to program and analyze fault data, training, interchangeability, and efficiency with the rest of the plant, it is determined to be in the Governments best interest to purchase Schwitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) relays as the remainder of the plant is outfitted with SEL relays. It is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intent to award a sole source contract with Power Connection, Inc. the sole Schwitzer Engineering Laboratories vendor designated for the southeastern region of the US in which Mobile District is located. It is anticipated that a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract will be awarded. The (NAICS) code is 335314 and the number of employees size standard is 750. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
