Notice of Intent to Sole Source a vendor-hosted training course on cable joints and terminations

This is not an invitation for bid or proposals. In 2014, the Navy procured cable from Tyco Electronics Subsea Communications LLC as a sole source procurement. This posting is in accordance with FAR 5.203(a) requiring notice prior to asking for a bid or issuing a solicitation to a sole source party. The Navy intends to procure a training course on the purchased cable under simplified acquisition rules. The Navy will sole source this training course to Tyco Electronics Subsea Communications LLC who provided the cable in 2014. The course will be for no longer than one week, and will host up to 15 students. It will be held at the contractor facility. Questions may be directed to the contracting office [email protected]
