Notice of Intent

Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Sierra Nevada Region (SNR) intends to award a sole source purchase order to DMC Power, Inc. of Carson, CA for specific DMC Power hardware and equipment for delivery to Folsom, CA. The items are for use at a WAPA substation. The DMC toolings are currently in use to perform repairs on electrical bus systems in its substations. WAPA has determined that using off-market or parts from another manufacturer may place personnel in danger and may jeopardize the safe and effective functioning of this DMC Power system. The basis for this sole source award is outlined in the Single Source Justification attached. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Other persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this within 7 calendar days. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13. No solicitation is available at this time.
