36--1200 AMP DC SYSTEM

This is a Notice of Intent to issue a sole source purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the purchase and installation of a Benning Power Electronics Inc., 1200 AMP DC Battery System. Due to the unique nature of this requirement and interoperability considerations with existing equipment, only one qualified supplier, Benning Power Electronics Inc., Richardson, TX, is capable of providing this requirement. Any purchase order that will be awarded under other than full and open competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
