Intent to Sole Source Tube Assemblies, Aviation Critical Safety Replacement Parts

The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to AMI Industries, 1275 N. Newport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80916, (Cage Code: 31218) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Market research has revealed this contractor is the manufacturer and is the only approved source for this Aviation Critical Safety Item by the Design Control Authority (DCA). The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East Support Team, MCAS Cherry Point, NC intends to procure: Twelve (12) Tube Assemblies, part number 12470-1 as required to fulfill the Government's requirement. These parts are direct replacement aviation critical safety parts for the AV-8B aircraft, and are only available from AMI Industries. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
